Aaron Stratten
Adjunct Instructor

 

Aaron Stratten is an experienced art educator who serves currently as
a resource teacher in the fine arts office for Fairfax County Public
Schools. In his position he supports art teachers at all levels by
planning and implementing in-service training, developing curriculum
and assessment models, coordinating the regional Scholastic Art Awards
program, and interviewing art teacher candidates for the county. He
has taught a broad range of classes at the middle school and high
school levels including 3D studio art, ceramics, photography, AP
Studio Art, and AP Art History. Mr. Stratten has also presented at art
education conferences on topics including effective portfolios,
revising curriculum, and authentic art assessment.

Mr. Stratten received a B.A. in Fine Arts and a B.S. in Visual Arts
Education from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, and an M.I.S.
from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia.
